Registration for this portion of the Conference is not automatic. During the online registration process, Law Firm Attorneys must indicate if they would like to participate in this portion of the Conference. Each corporation is required to conduct an informational interview with at least four (4) law firms to offset their complimentary registration.
The Conference includes a Law Firm/Corporate Counsel Connections Expo (“Expo”), which is included in the Law Firm Attorneys registration fee. The Expo will allow each law firm that registers for the Expo an opportunity to have a one-on-one informational interview with Corporate Counsel/Government Representative attendees during the Expo to discuss the legal services they offer. The Expo provides a unique networking platform and an additional opportunity for Corporate Counsel/Government Representative to meet with Law Firm Attorneys. Each law firm must indicate whether they would like a table at the Expo during the online registration process. Each law firms will have one (1) table to display its material. Each firm must limit its display to information and marketing material that can be presented on the tabletop. A firm banner (vertical or horizontal) is permitted behind the firm’s designated table, but it must be freestanding and cannot exceed six (6) feet in length or height. A firm tablecloth is also permitted.
Please note: If a law firm is selected for an informational interview, the interview will be conducted at specific times during the Expo at the law firm’s table. Law firms that are selected for a scheduled informational interview will receive correspondence prior to the Conference as well as a hard copy of the interview schedule at the Conference Registration Desk upon check-in.
Please note that failure to expressly follow these instructions may result in exclusion of your law firm biography and attorney questionnaire information from the corporation review process.
Unlike other conferences, the Corporate Counsel Conference offers a unique scheduled networking opportunity. Before the Conference, Corporate Counsel/Government Representatives pre-select Law Firm Attorneys Counsel for scheduled informational interviews. Scheduled informational interviews are conducted in fifteen (15) minute intervals on the designated Conference date during the Expo at the firm’s table. In addition to the scheduled informational interviews, Corporate Counsel/Government Representatives are encouraged to walk throughout the Expo room to meet participating Law Firm Attorneys. While there is no guarantee that Law Firm Attorneys will be granted a scheduled interview or retained for representation, the Expo is intended to provide Law Firm Attorneys with opportunities to meet and network with Corporate Counsel/Government Representatives and opportunities for potential informal/unscheduled interviews.
To participate in the scheduled informational interview process, Law Firm Attorneys must first register for the Conference. During the registration process, Law Firm Attorneys will be asked to provide a bio, as well as provide additional information about their respective practice experience. In advance of the Conference, Corporate Counsel/Government Representatives will be able to view Law Firm Attorneys’ information for the interview process. Registered Corporate Counsel/Government Representatives will receive a link to access the information provided by Law Firm Attorneys and will request interviews via the link provided.
Law Firm Attorneys will also be asked to submit a one-page Law Firm biography on a letter-size page on one side only. Do not exceed one (1) page.
Submit your Law Firm Biography by uploading it via the registration site only. Submissions via U.S. mail, email, or fax will not be accepted.
All Law Firm Biographies must be received by January 6, 2025. Any Law Firm Biography received after the deadline will not be included.
If selected for an interview, Law Firm Attorneys will receive his/her interview schedule with the name of the corporation prior to the Conference via e-mail.
Submission of a Law Firm Biography does not guarantee an interview. Due to the specific needs of the participating corporations, some Law Firm Attorneys attendees may not be interviewed during the Expo. The Conference, however, provides numerous other opportunities for Law Firm Attorneys to meet Corporate Counsel/Governement Representative attendees. Many Corporate Counsel/Government Representatives have retained Law Firm Attorneys as a result of the informal networking offered by the Conference in addition to the scheduled interview process and Expo.
Beyond the Expo and potential interviews, the three-day Conference offers unparalleled opportunities for Law Firm Attorneys to meet Corporate Counsel/Government Representatives from numerous Fortune 1000 companies. Networking opportunities exist throughout the entire Conference, including the receptions, group breakfasts and lunches, and the golf and spa events. Law Firm Attorneys should take advantage of these great networking opportunities because they only present themselves in this manner once a year at the Corporate Counsel Conference.
Opportunities to speak at the Conference are limited and very competitive. Only Law Firm Attorneys who are with law firms that sponsor the Conference will be considered as potential speakers. There is no sponsorship requirement for Corporate Counsel/Government Representatives selected to speak.
The Corporate Dine-Arounds offer a unique opportunity for Corporate Counsel/Government Representatives to meet Law Firm Attorneys/Consultants and continue networking in a casual but intimate atmosphere during a dinner at one of several restaurants. The cost of the Dine-Arounds is “dutch treat” and is not included in the cost of registration. They will take place on Thursday, February 20, 2025, after the Welcome Reception. Registrants should stay tuned for details about the Dine-Arounds and are encouraged to take advantage of this great marketing and networking opportunity.
